Amante Organic Olive Oil

It comes from 12 hectares of organic olive groves, Picual variety, planted by us in 2012.

In a typically Alentejo climate, the olive grove grew with respect for the surrounding nature.

Being a high-quality olive oil, it is produced with extreme care, following an organic farming method*, from olives picked in mid-autumn, in order to take advantage of their higher antioxidant content, and are transported to the mill on the same day.

There, the olive oil is extracted at low temperatures, using a mechanical process. It is then decanted, stored in stainless steel tanks and bottled, using the most modern technology.

The result? An extra virgin, single-varietal olive oil with a perfect balance between intense and fruity, with hints of pepper and green grass. These characteristics make it ideal for meat dishes, cod or oven-baked vegetables.

Production Process

The mill where we process the fruit of the olive tree, the olives, to obtain Amante extra virgin olive oil, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. All the elements that come into contact with the olives or oil are made of stainless steel or food-grade rubber.

In September, we begin analyzing the olives to calculate the best time to harvest them.

MATURATION

The secret to the quality of our olive oil comes from the ripening of our olives. This begins between the end of summer and the beginning of autumn and is manifested by the change in colour of the outside of the olives, going from the intense green of summer to a light green or yellowish color.

CATCH

When nature and analysis tell us it is time; being done mechanically, during the day, respecting nature and protecting the environment.

It is carried out cold, in order to preserve the characteristics and quality of our olive oil.
